Freedom of InformationThe Freedom of Information Act came into force on 1 January 2005. As part of the continuing campaign to broaden the travel debate HolidayTravelWatch intends to employ the provisions of the Act insofar as gaining access to relevant travel information. The purpose is twofold: 1. To inform the travel consumer as to relevant issues; 2. To use that information to monitor, assess, provide comment or campaign on behalf of the travel consumer This section will reproduce each request and reply, where the statutory provisions allow, and where appropriate provide comment thereon. Where possible, and if resources allow, Holiday TravelWatch will provide legal challenge to any issue that may arise under the FOIA.
